Yes, yes, you're guessing right! I am Joy from the wacky class of Garnet 08!!! Yeah! Rock On!. For the past few days, I, together with my classmates, have been studying about POETRY. Obviously, we do it during English class with Sr. Ayende. Like what Agnetha said, poetry is better than studying grammar. Grammar is easy to learn and study unlike poetry, but poetry is fun to do. Our introduction to this matter is Peter Weir's "Dead Poets Society". It's an excellent movie, I must say, and interesting too. But, I didn't get to see the ending. Oh well, I just read the scripts I found in the internet. :-) Bad, bad me.

IN THE CLOUDS
A child once dreamt of seeing the whole world,
On top of the greatest mountain so high.
He dreamt of sleeping on the fluffiest cloud,
And his lullaby is the wind's most soothing sound.
He wished to dance with God,
God the Heavenly and Almighty Father,
To laugh with the angels, up above,
And to play with their instruments on the softest grounds.
In an instant, God disappeared,
Like a bubble that popped and went nowhere.
But sure, he was, there was an angel with him,
The angel was flying with him, he was wrapped around by angelic arms.
The angel led him to a golden gate, high in the sky.
With God in the center, on top of the whole world, up in the clouds so high.
Okay, I was exhausted last Sept. 20, so this poem was written last September 21, 2004. Just a day after! Woohoo!!
Anyway, this poem was kinda like 'Peaceful Sky' but death wasn't emphasized on this one. What was emphasized here was a dream achieved through hardships. It gave us the message that in every journey to achieve something, consequences, risks and uncertainties can't be avoided.
