First of all, here is my wonderful "barkada" in SBS. Some of them, I've known since Prep, some of them, I've known since Grade 4. In my "barkada", I'm the youngest, but I think like an old woman, so they don't "baby" me. Anyway, even though I'm the youngest, we were all born during the Goat's year. From back left to front right, the people are Steph, Mai, Felice, Marj, Reika, JOY (hehe) and Hannah. I am apologizing for the distorted photo, because, really, I couldn't do anything.
From back left to front right is JOY, Chiarra, Felice, Reika and Steph. Chiarra and I share the same birthdate, November 10, but, still knowing that, we joke around and call each other sometimes, "Ate" as in big sister. This picture was taken while were grilling barbecue at our batch mate's, Helena, family farm. We went there because we were instructed by our EPP (Edukasyong Pangkabuhayan at Pantahanan) teacher, Mrs. Antonio, to observe different farm animals and to experience something different from the city. During that time, we were studying about livelihood in farms.
I'm nowhere to be found in this picture. Heehee, but it's okay. I'll just tell you what they were doing. If you will notice, Steph, Reika and Marjorie were here. So were my other classmates, Janelle (below Steph) and Janine (below Marj). They were painting ceramic "statuettes" while waiting for the other section to finish cooking palitao. This was again held by the EPP unit. After painting, we proceeded to the Home Economics (H.E.) Room and cooked our very own palitao with peanut butter filling. Mmmm... Memories fill my mind this moment.
I WILL NEVER FORGET...
... the "barkada" swing at the back of the Grade 1 room during Grade 5. It used to be our hang-out.
... the first time became a class officer during Grade 4 because my classmates elected me to become Class President.
... my embarrassing Primary years.
... my teachers.
... the Admin.
... Sister Tarcila and Sister Ababao.
... my classmates and friends, of course.
... my field trip in Subic and Batangas.
... the first time I cried in school. The first time I cried was because of Laurice, my best friend during Prep.
... how I forgot my Art materials and improvised, thus, creating a useless artwork.
... how I hate my "other" teachers sometimes.
... my very first Holy Communion.
... my first recollection. With the usual dishes - fried chicken, spaghetti, rice and juice.
... how I never got to experience a "retreat" in the Bahay Ugnayan of the Good Sheperd Convent.
... the time I was feared by my classmates during our Halloween Party because I REALLY looked like the ghost in the 2nd floor of the HS building. Thanks to Ms. Bomediano, our P.E. teacher.
... my very first long fight (which lasted for about a year) with a fellow classmate. Are you there, Datu? Hehee...
... the phrase, "Oy, pumasok na yung nasa loob!" which I said during my 2nd term as class president.
... SIXERS' NIGHT and CLASS MOM.
... useless conversations like - JOY: Oy, pasok na sa classroom!, JENIKA: Ayoko nga. JOY: Di 'wag!.
... less intensified cramming.
... the times I was chosen to become a group leader.
... the times I get to attend the QC-MGSC Leadership Campference and the Ateneo Investigatory Project "thingy" which lasted for almost 4 boring hours. I nearly slept.
... tutoring classmates.
... whispering "ssh..."
... hearing questions like - "Joy, may I go to the wash room/fountain?" because I was the class president.
... many other things I forgot to mention.
... last but not the least, SBS itself.
Whee!! HeLLo!!! This page is dedicated to my former school, ST. BRIDGET SCHOOL! Yey!! Anyway, I created a page for them so that you, guys and girls, could have some idea on where I came from. Heehee... As you can see, the page is titled, KIDDING ASIDE, so I have the right to get crazy here. Weeh!! Waah!!! Hahahaha!!! I'm not yet losing it, but I'm nearly there. JOKE!
