JOY Jump and tumble, play while you can, Over the meadows, run as fast as you can, Years go by, life is too short, so make the most out of it, before your time is o'er. :-) Yes, yes, you're guessing right! I am Joy from the wacky class of Garnet 08!!! Yeah! Rock On! For the past few days, I, together with my classmates, have been studying about POETRY. Obviously, we do it during English class with Sr. Ayende. Like what Agnetha said, poetry is better than studying grammar. Grammar is easy to learn and study unlike poetry, but poetry is fun to do. Our introduction to this matter is Peter Weir's "Dead Poets Society". It's an excellent movie, I must say, and interesting too. But, I didn't get to see the ending. Oh well, I just read the scripts I found in the internet. :-) Bad, bad me. |
"Let never day nor night unhallow'd pass, But still remember what the Lord has done." - Shakespeare MEMORIES Memories fill my mind this moment, Memories which give me loneliness. For I reminisce and see you smile again. Wishing I could really do, today.
I wish to touch your face as it is, With the palm of my hands touching your skin. As tears roll down from my eyes to my cheeks, Realizing that you're only a dream.
Oh, this pain that you left me! Like a knife that penetrated deep in my chest. Long after the wound had gone, It shall always bear its scar in my heart.
Memories come and go, So do people I love and know. But all these memories find a place to hide, But yours hides deep in my heart. |
Please say that this was an improvement compared to the mushy one. Well I think it is. Anyway, this poem was written last September 20, 2004. That was a Monday. Why did I write this one in the first place? Oh yes, now I remember. It was a replacement for the mushy one. I wrote this one just in case I get called to recite in front of the class. :-) When I wrote this one, I was first thinking of death. But soon, after finding the words to write, it soon exhibited the idea of love, again. I picture it as a man who misses his loved one and remembers her through the silence of his heart.
